Asadero Queso Fundido Skillet Dip
A rich, bubbling skillet dip that brings bold flavor and irresistible melt. Savory chorizo, sautéed onion, and jalapeño are layered beneath silky, perfectly melted Delicatezza Asadero, then finished with fresh tomato and cilantro. Served straight from the oven with warm tortillas or chips, it’s a crowd-pleasing appetizer that’s equal parts comforting and indulgent.
Ingredients
- 8 ounces Delicatezza Asadero cheese, shredded
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 1/2 pound chorizo, casing removed
- 1 small onion, finely chopped
- 1 jalapeño, seeded and diced
- 1 small tomato, diced
- 1 tablespoon chopped cilantro
- Warm flour tortillas or tortilla chips, for serving
Instructions
- Heat olive oil in a cast-iron skillet over medium heat. Add chorizo and cook until browned, breaking it apart with a spoon. Stir in onion and jalapeño; cook 2–3 minutes until softened.
- Sprinkle Delicatezza Asadero evenly over the skillet mixture. Top with diced tomato.
- Transfer skillet to a 375°F oven for 5–7 minutes, or until cheese is fully melted and bubbling.
- Remove from oven, garnish with cilantro, and serve immediately with warm tortillas or tortilla chips.
